A doctor answers his phone and hears the familiar voice of a colleague on the other end of the line.

‘We need a fourth for poker,’ said the friend.

‘I’ll be right over,’ whispered the doctor.

As he was putting on his coat, his wife asked, ‘Is it serious?’

‘Oh yes, quite serious,’ said the doctor gravely. ‘In fact, there are three doctors there already!’

umm I didn’t really got this joke.. can u tell me what was the thing to laugh ?? I don’t know anything about poker so manybe I am missing the fun of this joke

the joke has nothing to do with poker he just wants to play with his friends so he sort of told his wife that there are 3 other doctors there trying to make the situation look serious as an excuse to leave
